Some folks don't go in much for trolling, but as a dedicated private boater I sure do enjoy the troll. It's a prospecting thing. Probably a carry-over from my childhood, heading out to the desert with my dad looking for arrowheads and other artifacts. It's the search, the surprise of finding what you're looking for (much like me looking for my cell phone in the morning), rigging things the right way, having the right patterns in the spread, and then HOOK-UP! Finding 'em is almost as much fun as catching 'em, at times even more fun. We're very happy to introduce you to Tormenter. Big Game Lures

Tormenter has a good design philosophy when it comes to making lures. Keep it simple, keep it focused on proven designs and patterns, and make the pricing aggressively affordable. In my mind, they do more than that. Their big game lures can be compared to other name brand specialty lures that cost three times the money. No better evidence of that comes from comparing their abalone head lures like the new Big Mouth and Pearle Diver. Their competition runs $69-99, yet these lures cost 1/3 of that rate! The lures are high quality, with nicely polished heads and good quality double skirts.

The new Big Mouth is another proven design from Tormenter, at a truly exceptional value. It's a true Abalone head lure in a chugger design, with a huge concave head for greater commotion on the surface. Big splashes, big attention, voracious strikes! Pearl Diver

The Pearl Diver is a true Abalone head lure in a swimming design, eleven inches in length and 1.2 inches in diameter. It's a trusted head shape, and the shell head finish has proven itself very effective for many, many years for enticing Marlin to open their mouths and take a bite. If you've priced abalone head lures recently you can easily recognize the value here, plus we sell these lures rigged with a tandem hook rig! There's no better value on the market for a lure of this type. Unrigged you'll find similar lures running at $30 or more. Dart

The Dart is high speed straight running lure designed for tempting marlin. They're 12.5" in length and 1.2" in head diameter. They feature large eyes, quality skirts with a very reflective head. They're a straight runner, excellent for trolling 8-12 knots. They come unrigged and will lend themselves to single and double hook rigging. We're stocking the lure in three flavors, Mackerel Sablefish, and Mexican Flag. Again, the value is as stunning as is the lure itself. You could easily expect to pay $30 for a lure of this size and quality, but we've got 'em at a very reasonable price of only $15.83 unrigged and 23.57 rigged!

Bowling Pins

To help attract attention, whatever the species targeted, teasers are a great idea for attracting attention to your offerings. Folks working marlin well know their value, but I've also become a believer for tuna and shark fishing. They do raise fish. The Bowling Pins from Tormenter are the nicest on the market, better finished than anything I've seen. They are thru-wired, which seems like a no-brainer kind of idea but I know of at least one other major manufacturer whose birds have never been so well rigged.

New & Effective!

Here's a great new product from Tormenter Fishing Products. Some of you might be familiar with their "bowling pin" teasers. They're the top design in that category of fish attractions. Their new Bird is something that will excite a lot of private boaters, and raise more than a few fish, too! The Tormenter Bird has a weighted belly, so it won't flip over even in rough/foul conditions. Their aluminum wings won't snap off under stress, nor will fish bite through the lure easily. They're through wired, with a connection loop on both ends for easy rigging. They have a great airbrush paint job, with several layers of clear coat to provide extra protection and durability. Wahoo and Makos

Super Smoker and Weighted Wahoo Head

The Super Smoker is a larger size jet for attracting both Wahoo and Mako sharks. The heavy jet will run at speed well, and the bubble trail is very enticing for predatory gamefish. We sell this lure rigged and ready to fish with double hooks rigged on heavy cable. It's an appropriate lure to drag on long range trips to Baja, or anywhere Wahoo are likely. For local sharkers, this lure has already proven itself for Makos.

The Wahoo Head is a high speed trolling lure designed specifically for wahoo, though makos will also find something to get excited about when they encounter this lure swimming along at 8-14 knots. The lure is rigged tandem, with 275# cable. The head is weighted and balanced to run right side up, for best presentation. The Wahoo Head has LARGE beady eyes to help entice fish to come up for a better look.

Smoker Jr.

The Smoker Jr. offers a trick slotted jethead with vinyl and mylar skirts for flash. You've got an enticing lure with flash and attention getting bubble trail in a eight inch length and .65" diameter head. For smaller fish, schoolie tuna, you may want to cut the skirt to six inches. This is a lure that will take a wide range of fish, wahoo, tuna, dorado and yellowtail will jump on it. Again, the value is strong @ $10.83.
