Upon placing your order you'll receive an immediate confirmation via email. You are not billed at that time. We process orders manually, preferring to have a human actually check things over and contact you should there be questions. Within 24 hours of placing your order you will receive a follow-up email confirmation and final invoice reflecting your total charges (Monday-Friday). You are not billed until we actually send you your final invoice. Orders shipped to CA addresses will have California Sales Taxes applied, out of state orders are tax free. Orders over $100 are shipped FREE!* Orders less than $100 are billed for shipping. During the ordering process you can select expedited shipping if required. (Within the USA we ship via UPS ground. International, and oversize/weight items will be billed for shipping and you will be sent an emailed invoice reflecting total charges prior to actual billing. We will not ship without you having had a chance to review the invoice).

Mini Tuna Sticks

Introducing CharkBait's Mini Tuna Stick, or MTS for short. Several years ago we offered a pretty interesting piece, the old Toad Tamer series of short rods. The little rods were fun to fish, but unfortunately we ran into problems with continuity of production. Our old models used Shikari blanks which were quite nice. For this production we've upgraded to USA made Seeker blanks. The Seeker's will prove more robust and capable of harder pulling. There have been a few similar shorty rods on the market using a range of blanks from very good to downright cheezy. We're proud to say, these are the best shorty panga rods made.

The MTS is a shorty, 4' in length using high quality Seeker blanks, and made here in America with top quality components. We use Fuji reel seats and AFTCO light weight roller guides. We go beyond most manufacturers of this style rod, having three distinct models, based upon different blanks and reel seats, in five different colors. Our lightest 15-30# rod features a Fuji trigger grip for added control in casting and feel. The next size us also uses a Fuji seat, but in a more conventional composite form for use with heavier lines @ 20-40#. The 30-50# MTS has a full aluminum reel seat and aluminum gimbal. All models feature a gimbal butt, even the trigger grip MTS 1530.

I came in a few weeks back and bought a custom MTS shorty and reel for my eight-year-old-son Parris.

I took him on a seven day and we paired the 20-40 # stick with an Avet SX two-speed. He landed a 32# yellowtail. What a great set up. See you soon and thanks. Here's Parris with deck hand Kevin on the Independence. Below is deckhand Justin.

CharkBait Rod Socks

Our Chark-Sleeves are a bit different than the one's above. They are available in three sizes. The base of the sleeve folds up onto the butt section of the rod and then can be tied off. So, one size can fit shorter rods with no problem. They are made of 89% polyester and 11% lycra (like OJ's gloves if you remember...). The material is versatile, durable and quick drying. It's super stretchy, and the micro polyester fabric wicks away moisture - like those $60 golf shirts. Nice product, nice price! These will stretch up to one foot longer in length. So, a 5' will indeed fit a 6' rod, the 7 will stretch to a tight 8.
