The GS Bracket - For "Lugless" Reels

Here's another one of those, "I wish they made that..." For reels without harness lugs, like the Accurate Boss Series, for reels that can fish the heavier line and higher drag settings but don't come with lugs the GS Bracket is a product from heaven.

Don't get whipped on light tackle, "Get Strapped" in with the NEW "GS Bracket"

The GS Bracket mounts onto the clamp screws on the underside of the reel. It curves upward behind the reel and presents two openings for the harness to clamp into.

The bracket is machined from a solid piece of 5052 aluminum alloy and then anodized.

The folks from GS Bracket just came out with another model accommodating Avet and ProGear reels. If you've got a Wahoo Special, jump on one.

The GS Bracket is available in gold, silver or black. It can be used with many of the top selling smaller reels, made by such companies as Accurate, Shimano, Penn, Diawa, Fin-nor, Okuma, and many more. With the bracket you'll have more leverage, reduce fatigue, and less opportunity to loose expensive gear.

Okay, here's the real reason we were so happy to discoverer this new product. You see, every year I try to charter the Red Rooster III for a trip down to Guadalupe Island. This year Beth talked her way onto the trip. So, now I'm outfitting for two. Sure, it's good she gets a bit of experience fishing for larger sized tuna, but there's an expense associated. On top of that, the gal, while she's nice, vivacious...has absolutely no upper body strength. She's all over the place when she's got a 20# albacore on the line. Heaven help us if she hooks up with a 100# tuna. Well, she's now the proud owner of an Accurate 870, and another Seeker Black Steel 660. There's no way this ~120# girl is going to hang onto a $600 rod/reel combo once a larger fish is on the line. We had to find a way to harness her. The Get Strapped product is our insurance policy.

As often seems to be the case, you go out and find a gift for someone and sure enough you end up buying another for yourself. That's what happened to me. I grabbed one to compliment my own Accurate 665 narrow that's mounted on a nice light Graphite USA rod. I know how these fish pull, you do too if you're running heavier line. Big fish, heavy line, and you'd better have a GS Bracket if your reel doesn't have harness lugs. You may not always use 'em, but if you're lucky you'll be pulling a fish that will justify strapping up a harness and clipping in. Anyone else out there with a Daiwa 40 or 50, or Accurate Boss series? You need one of these devices. Sure bet.
