Smart move, nifty product, reasonable pricing, nearly universal application.  These guys got it right. Backbone is a fairly new company.  Their first innovative product is something all of us end up searching for, loosing, never quite liking...  It's a back brace for your reel, a simple reel clamp.  The backbone has a couple unique features, it has a hook holder built in, contoured making for a nice resting place for your index finger while one handing your rod/reel. If you're not using your reel clamp, do so.  I've seen more than one reel come flying off a rod because of the fisherman not realizing the clamps integral necessity while fighting a fish.  If you have a reel that uses a clamp, Backbone has a clamp that will fit.  

There are two sizes of reel clamp; only two sizes will cover almost all reels made! Some of the reels will require hardware for use.  For instance, Newell reels also will require a bh-20 (screws) kit. The reel clamps are available in several colors allowing you to distinguish your gear easily when you have the rods in the racks. This can be a time saver on a big party boat, makes it easy to find your gear.
