Yo-Zuri Hybrid

Yo-Zuri's Hybrid fishing line is a patented fluorocarbon polymer alloy line. It's an exclusive blended line made from fluorocarbon and nylon to create a tough, strong fishing line that casts well and has many of the uniquely invisible qualities of fluorocarbon leader without the need to tie on another section of line for invisibility. This is NOT a coated line, we're really not fans of that type of product. This line is blended and extruded as one line, so it's more durable and limper than a coated or 100% fluorocarbon line.

We brought this product into our inventory because of feedback from some of our clients who tried it in 2004. They reported positive results with the line, similar to expectations for using 100% fluorocarbon leader, but without the extra knot or time needed to tie on some leader. I spooled up one of my own reels with their 20# line and have been impressed with it's thin diameter and limpness. It's a good line. We'll see how it does with extended use and abuse, and in higher tests as this year's season progresses. Give it a try, I think you'll like the Hybrid. We stock this product in clear (which is the only color type that makes sense in a line that should be invisible to fish...).

Yo-Zuri H.D. Carbon

The folks at Yo-Zuri recently introduced a line of improved fluorocarbon leader. This product is 100% fluorocarbon, and super soft unlike most other fluorocarbon leader products. Yo-Zuri used to handle the U.S.A. distribution of Seaguar, so they've been involved with this type of product from day one. For them to come out with their own line they knew they had to improve upon what has been available, and they've accomplished that goal. We've used this product now for a season's time and can agree with the manufacturer's claims of softness and lack of memory. It gets high marks for abrasion resistance, low stretch, value, and underwater invisibility.
