QUICK RIG For Bait & Lures Hooks and Hardware

We're very excited to introduce Quick Rig hooks to our clients.  They make some high quality hooks with unique features.  The hooks are manufactured in Japan, with attention to quality in materials and finish. Their ringed circle hooks are flat out excellent, on a par with Owner hooks in terms of quality.  They're sharp at the point, but have less of a cutting edge to them along the side, so they are less likely to cut a gap and pop out during an extended fight. Quick Rig also makes some very trick 180 and 90 degree offset hook rigs, in a wide range of sizes you'll find on this page. Use these for making up trolling rigs or instead of a trap rig with the smaller size hooks, and for rigging up marlin and wahoo trolling lures on the larger sizes. The small ones can also be used for trap rigging plastics or bait quite easily and effectively. QuickRig's line of swivels is also a great product and very well priced given their high quality. We've also commissioned QuickRig to make up some special items for our long range anglers (welded rings) and specialized tandem hook rigs for our big game fishermen.

We recently commissioned QuickRig to make up some double hook rigs for making up marlin and wahoo lures (of the larger variety). These are tournament quality rigs, made by a team of riggers with 70 years experience. They match 49 strand stainless steel leader cable to the hook sizes, use the best hardware and shrink tubing. These rigs are all tested by QuickRig to be the very best quality that can be produced. Quick Rig Charlie Brown Chunking Circle

The CB Circle Chunk features the same excellent heavy duty circle hook as their regular ringed Circles from Quick Rig, but with one essential difference, a  ball bearing swivel attached to the eye of the hook. This allows the chunk to rotate more easily, eliminating line twists and the line test degradation caused by twisted and stressed line under load. It's a unique hook, made for a particular style of fishing.

Here's something we've been wanting to see, a quality circle hook, ringed, in RED.  Why red? Well, a lot of anglers swear by the color for hooks, feeling it gets bit better and is less visible to fish at depth. I know the white seabass chasers have long favored red hooks, as have a lot of tuna fishermen. QuickRig Sea Buoy Pro Series Swivels

Here's a nice addition from the Quick Rig folks. The Sea Buoy Pro Swivels are a premium quality ball bearing swivel featuring excellent construction and superb performance. They are available from 330# - 640# strength and 7mm-10.5mm size.

 

 

QuickRig Power Swivels

Here's another neat new product from QuickRig.  They're becoming increasingly well known for their ringed circle hooks and snap swivels and corkscrew style snap/swivels.  Here's a new twist (so to speak) in swivels.  You may have seen something similar from another firm, very small swivels with incredible strength that give you half the quantity for the same or higher price.  QuickRig is an aggressive company, making great products and offering them for a very fair price.  In this case, they've simply got the best product for the best price. 

 

 

A lot of folks will use these super small swivels for rigging their fluorocarbon leader.  Some will use them for connecting mono or fluorocarbon leader to Spectra. Welded Rings

In September '07 we begged the folks from QuickRig to make up some welded rings for us. Many guys like to use the rings for making up 'hoo bait rigs, connecting mono to fluorocarbon, and several other applications. In the long range application welded rings are an essential accessory, but there are few quality one's made. The ones made with a bright chrome finish are definitely NOT what's required for fishing wahoo. QuickRig's welded rings, as used on their swivels looked to be a perfect match to our requirements. So, the folks imported rings for us, and we're quite pleased to be able to bring them to our clients as a CharkBait exclusive.
