Squid Iron
Here's
another must-have lure to put in your box...until you go fishing.
Blade-Runner makes some very unique products we're happy to bring
your way. The first we'll be showing off is their unique
and
very effective Squid Iron (as we call 'em). These imitation squid
lures will draw strikes from many species of fish, including tuna.
But, most guys will be very excited to put 'em to use when targeting
white seabass and yellowtail. They are chunky and substantial in
terms of weight. We're stocking the most effective colors and sizes,
offering the smaller lures in both single and treble hooks. Use
these as a cast and retrieve lure, covering lots of water.
Alternatively, since they have some mass, they will also prove
effective as a yoyo lure worked vertically. They will drop quickly
and offer good action all the way down. The soft tentacles offer
some sparkle, the hooks are quality VMC Permasteel, so they'll hold
up well for lots of use over many years. All are rigged with split
rings, through wired, with a tough durable finish.

The World's Best Leadhead
 On
the freshwater bass scene these are THE BEST KEPT SECRET BEHIND WINNING
TOURNAMENTS. For saltwater anglers, they are equally deadly. They are
the best made, best designed and most effective leadhead you'll ever
use. That's a bold statement, but once you get your hands on 'em you'll
no doubt agree. The sculpted heads do a better job of dressing up your
plastics, the smaller sizes even have a keeper attached. The
larger size lures are also sculpted, but don't offer the same keeper
design. The eyes are more than your basic stick on decal. The hooks
aren't an afterthought either, they're Mustad Ultra-Points.
 Of
course the big feature is the UNDER-SPIN design. With the spinner blade
under the lure's head you get more flash, more action, more fish
catching ability. The lures are not cheap, they are handmade here in
America using the best materials available to man. They're proven their
effectiveness on the tournament trail, and will prove themselves to you
whether you fish saltwater or freshwater.

Saltwater Punchin' Jigs
Applying
bass fishing techniques to the saltwater environment flat out works.
That's what I did transitioning from being a confirmed bass-aholic
to a saltwater private boater. And, I
think a lot of guys have discovered that taking the bass techniques
to saltwater provides much fun, and bigger catches than possible in
the non-salty stuff. The only downside is that since the environment
is harsher and the fish tougher, tackle needs to be upgraded. Lures
need to have better hooks and be stronger. That's what Blade-Runner
did for us with their Punchin' Jig. This lure is fairly heavy at 1
1/8 ounces. It's shaped for resting on
the bottom, and then scooting along the mud or sand. It will punch
through kelp and eel grass when most other lures get hung-up, and
it's got a week guard too. You can fish 'em straight or with a
trailer of a plastic swimbait or even pork rind.
We're
stocking five patterns that will produce for you. These are a very
high quality product, made in California - not a cheap import.
They also feature a very useful trailer
keeper pins along the base of the hook so your plastic tempter won't
slide down the hook.
I f
you're fishing the breakwater, definitely give 'em a try. If doing
so at night or fishing turbulent and discolored water you might also
consider running a luminescent trailer, like the CharkBait Swimmer's
Blam lure. We're showing the lures rigged with a standard swimbait
and curly-tailed Blam. You can fish 'em naked if you wish, but the
trailer adds a lot to the lure's effectiveness. Priced 1/bag
@$3.99 ea.
