For 2012 Yo-Zuri completely updated their lures,
applying all their technology to the vast
majority of their product line. These Japanese
produced lures are the best Yo-Zuri
has ever offered,
and I have to also add they are priced as though
this manufacturer is darn proud of 'em, too. Be
prepared for that, but also recognize that these
are some of the most innovative, highest quality
and most effective lures ever produced. They are
indeed expensive lures when compared to their
previous years production, but they incorporate
more innovative features. I guess the reasoning
was pretty simple. They could produce another
series of me-to lures, or shoot for the very
best product they could build. They opted for
the high end, the best. And, you see that across
the board with the new line from Yo-Zuri, the
hooks are not just good, they're excellent. The
attention to detail is the best we have ever
seen, even the small reflective aurora dot in the
eyes appears so very accurate a representation
of a fish's retina. These new lures are
absolutely amazing pieces of fish catching
technology. You'll also note, many of the lures
feature Yo-Zuri's patented Sashimi color
changing features. They really are the best
lures built in terms of advancing fish catching
technology, and they may indeed be well worth
the money if they get you bit when other's
won't. Time will tell that tale, but I've got to
say, these are among the most innovative designs
they or anyone have ever produced. I'm betting
they are well worth fishing and a significant
improvement over earlier designs.
Yo-Zuri
Hydro Magnum
The
Hydro Mag is earning lots of praises by anglers. It's a newer,
updated version of their older L-Jack series. It's really a totally
different lure, but it fills the same slot, with some advantages.
The lure's lip is plastic, it runs true, never gets out of tune. It's
through wired so you'll have a serious strength advantage over other bolsa
wood lures. And, of course this lure is made from a high impact
plastic, with super strong hooks and a tough, durable finish. It's a
quality lure, built for the long haul. Over the past year this lure
has been a staple of private boaters trying to drag deeper for tuna.
It produces, and it will take more than tuna and yellowtail. It's a
lure that will work well trolled, can be cast effectively, and will
produce for you.
The Hydro Mags are
available in three sizes and several color patterns, as pictured.
It's well worth owning a few of these lures. Promise.

Yo-Zuri NEW 3D
Floating and Sinking Crystal
Minnow
Awesome lures for anyone fishing inshore, with
the strength to fish offshore species too.
These lures are
nothing short of brilliant in their construction
quality and
strength.
Like the other new lures from YoZuri, our
selection represents the best they make, the
epitome of lure design. From their effective and
responsive darting action on the retrieve, their
holographic reflective sides, UV finish, to the
durable ABS body. These lures were made to catch
fish, lots of 'em. The hooks are sharper and
stronger than any others used on a production
lure, from any manufacturer. The lures
incorporate a "Bleeding Ruby & UV Sapphire"
balanced weight insert. Even the eyes themselves
offer features not seen on any other lure.
YoZuri could have made a less expensive lure, or
they could put everything they know into
building the best lures made. They opted for the
later, and that's going to translate into more
fish for you.
We stock three sizes of the shallow
diving Floating/Diving lures:
3-1/2" 1/4 oz, 4-3/8" 1/2 oz, 5-1/2" 3/4
oz. |
|

We stock the Crystal 3D deep divers in two
sizes- 5 1/4 /130mm 7/8 oz.
and 150 mm 6" 1 3/4 oz. They dive to 14
and 20 ft. respectively. |

Yo-Zuri 3d Hydro Squirt
The
new Hydro Squirts incorporate all of YoZuri's best patented features
including Wave Motion, their unique 3D Prism finish and the Color Change
feature. Put these three patented technologies together and you have a
very unique lure with fish catching appeal. They are also through wire
constructed for dealing with harder fighting fish with serious drag
applied. These new lures are effective as a casting lure or on the troll,
taking a wide variety of gamefish. They use a new glow color, with durable
skirts and a large squid eye with internal 3D prism lens. All 3D big game
lures have an ultra violet Attack Point incorporated in the body. The
lures are made from durable ABS materials, with very tough construction
throughout.

Yo-Zuri Crystal 3D Slow
Sinking Shrimp
The
new shrimp lures from YoZuri are another interesting and innovative lure,
sure to be favored by folks fishing the flats for redfish, and inshore or
surf anglers for tarpon, bonefish and pretty much anything interested in
eating these tasty crustaceans. The slow falling lure attains further
depth given the diving bill, and it swims like a shrimp. There are two
sizes, 2-3/4" and 3-1/2" weighing 1/4 and 7/16 oz respectively.

Yo-Zuri Bonita
New Sashimi
Update to a Long Time Producer
Yo-Zuri's Bonita lures have
been a long running favorite for folks
targeting wahoo on the long range boats as
well as larger grade tuna. We've been
waiting on the manufacturer to update their
lure for some time, and they finally did so
- in a big way. Yo-Zuri applied all their
lure magic to the new Bonita, adding the
Sashimi color changing finish, a louder
rattle, better production materials (so
they'll last through many more toothy
critters like hungry wahoo). The finish also
has a holographic quality, reflecting light
better and drawing more attention as it
swims through the water. The shape of these
210mm lures is a bit more refined than in
the past and the weight distribution is in
my estimation better, too. I think they'll
track better than any previous generation
Bonita, all of 'em since they're no longer
made from compressed foam. They are a better
product, and they are more expensive. At
first the price scared off my excitement
when I saw the first production samples.
But, now after having them in my hands for a
few days, I'm increasingly impressed with
the lures. There's more to them than just
the color changing thing. Frankly, while
that's pretty trick, I'm hard pressed to
think that's going to make a fish catching
difference in a lure. But, the other things
that are harder to see do make a difference,
and that's what the lure designers at
Yo-Zuri got very right in my estimation.
These are the most expensive lures of their
type on the market, and I think they're
worth every penny paid. They will get you
bit, they'll last longer, they are
uncompromising and their use of lure
technology goes beyond anything else on the
market. If you are going on a long range
trip and you intend to catch wahoo, grab
one. Don't argue the price, just buy the
darn thing.

F1057 - CHWH YoZuri call's it a
wahoo,
but it reminds me of the old Ahi
pattern, too - either way, darn
nice! So, we'll split the
difference: Ahi-Hoo! |

Yo-zuri
Surface Cruiser Lure
Looking for a larger size popper?
We've got you covered. The Yo-Zuri Surface Bull GT is one large
popper, with huge eyes and a large cupped head. It's a full 7 2/3
inches in length, and weighs in at 3 1/2 ounces. This is the popper
to have with you when you travel to Panama looking for giant rooster fish!
Of course the lure is thru-wired, so it can hang with the big boys for
which it's intended. The Bull will take on tuna, rooster fish, and
all sorts of fish that love munching on other gamefish.
