BassTrix - I used to sell 'em, now I don't.

It's a long story which we'll shorten. Basstrix produces a nice looking swimbait, and they took a few tournaments in 2007. They made some shortsighted marketing decisions that resulted in a false shortage of goods. That led to price gouging. On the positive, it also led to the production of some similar lures that have the benefit of better pricing and availability. So, we no longer stock or support Basstrix lures, but we certainly do support and stock some alternative lures I think you'll be much impressed with.

- the Kick-S Shad from Fishbelly Lures

The Kick-S Shad is a patented lure design of the highest quality. They will become available in several sizes, but first for the USA market is their 6 inch triple tail. This gorgeous lure is made to be fished with a keel weight for best action. It can be rigged Texas style for great effect on a 2/0-4/0 hook. The action won't be as good when rigged on a leadhead, in my opinion. Best action from this lure will come from some form of keel weight. The triple tail provides a great wiggle, tight, much like an anchovy or any thin profile baitfish. The lures are packed five per bag, and priced at a very realistic $6.89/pack. Owner Twist Lock hooks in black chrome uses a centering pin spring system on the hook's ring. This "corkscrew" gets inserted into the head of the lure, then the wide gap hook is inserted into the lure's belly - not quite coming through the top of the bait. When rigged properly you have yourself a weedless lure with enough weight for casting and a natural "underweight" for the most realistic presentation possible.
