Upon placing  your order you'll receive an immediate confirmation via email. You are not billed at that time. We process orders manually, preferring to have a human actually check things over and contact you should there be questions. Within 24 hours of placing your order you will receive a follow-up email confirmation and final invoice reflecting your total charges (Monday-Friday). You are not billed until we actually send you your final invoice.  Orders shipped to CA addresses will have California Sales Taxes applied, out of state orders are tax free. Orders over $100 are shipped FREE!* During the ordering process you can select expedited shipping if required. (Within the USA we ship via UPS ground. International, and oversize/weight items will be billed for shipping and you will be sent an emailed invoice reflecting total charges prior to actual billing. We will not ship without you having had a chance to review the invoice).

Seasickness?

I should have made this public service announcement before.  Seasickness isn't fun.  Over the years several methods have been used to combat the plague, with differing levels of effectiveness.  I'd suggest reading the article from Paul Carnes in the Journal section of CharkBait regarding seasickness.  

We have several products available to deal with this distasteful issue.  All the products have their devotees, but don't ask me.  I've lived long enough as a bachelor now that there's very little that can result in my stomach giving up it's contents.  But, Beth knows all about this stuff.  Give her a call at the shop for her personal take on the ailment's prevention. 

- Sea-Band - This simple device is worn on the wrist and applies a small amount of "accupressure" to overcome and over-ride motion sickness. It's simple, requires no drugs, has no lingering discomfort. 
- Sailors' Secret - Ginger has been used for a long time to combat motion sickness.  For many people this supplement has proven quite effective.  Each pack contains 36 capsules of Premium Ginger.  Take 4 caps an hour before departure, repeat every 4 hours as necessary.  No side effects (but if you happen to be a pregnant woman or child under 6 talk to an MD prior to use.

Another substance that also gets some positive feedback is Bonine. This is a pill, a medicine sold over the counter. We also sell the product at our shop and maintain a good inventory there. One of the folks working with us swears by it, and will take a tab about a half hour prior to departing on a fishing trip, seems to have no negative effect on her. That's another option, and there are others available through perscription.
